Teaching English and Soft Skills with Drama: Blended Programme

This blended professional development programme goes beyond self-study to give you the practical skills, real classroom experience, and personalised feedback you need to confidently teach English and soft skills through drama. Built around three integrated phases - online self-study, a live three-day intensive in Hong Kong, and an assessed classroom practice - it is designed for teachers who want to do more than learn the theory; they want to put it to work.

The programme includes full access to our Teaching Soft Skills with Drama online course, which provides a comprehensive, self-paced introduction to drama pedagogy. This is followed by three days of hands-on in-person training in Hong Kong (2-4 May 2026), where you will work alongside expert trainers and fellow teachers in a collaborative, practical environment. In the final phase, you will submit a recorded classroom lesson for professional assessment and receive detailed written feedback from a qualified trainer.

Helping your learners to master soft skills opens opportunities for their future study, work, and everyday life. Drama is one of the most powerful and engaging ways to develop those skills - and this programme will equip you to use it with confidence.

  • Blended: online + in-person

“Many pedagogical experts argue that schools should switch to teaching ‘the four Cs’ – critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity... Most important of all will be the ability to deal with change, to learn new things, and to preserve your mental balance in unfamiliar situations.” – Yuval Noah Harari, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century
