This three-day, in-person workshop gives you the practical skills and hands-on classroom experience to confidently teach English and soft skills through drama. Working alongside expert trainers and fellow teachers, you'll explore and practise a wide range of drama techniques, observe live demonstrations, and leave with lesson plans ready to use in your own classroom.
Helping your learners master soft skills opens opportunities for their future study, work, and everyday life. Drama is one of the most powerful and engaging ways to develop those skills – and this workshop will equip you to use it with confidence.
The workshop includes a 50% discount on our self-study course Teaching Soft Skills with Drama, reducing to to HK$600 (normally HK$1,200).
“Many pedagogical experts argue that schools should switch to teaching ‘the four Cs’ – critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity... Most important of all will be the ability to deal with change, to learn new things, and to preserve your mental balance in unfamiliar situations.” – Yuval Noah Harari, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century

This 3-day workshop will better enable you to:
You'll start with ensemble-building warm-ups before working on voice and vocal technique - projection, clarity, pacing, and tone for instruction and storytelling - and physical presence, using body language, gesture, and space to manage classroom dynamics. In the afternoon, you'll explore storytelling techniques using picture books, then plan and deliver a short drama-based activity in a supportive peer-teaching round with structured feedback, before a group reflection to close the day.
Day two builds on day one with soundscapes and immersive environments, then still images and tableau - using freeze frames to support storytelling and language development. You'll look at how to apply drama techniques within a structured lesson, then spend the afternoon on teacher-in-role: how to enter and hold a role convincingly, guide learning from within it, and manage classroom interaction while in character, with guided practice and feedback throughout.
On the final day you'll explore how to select and adapt scripts and drama resources for different learners and contexts, and see how AI tools can support drama lesson planning. You'll practise turning ordinary textbook dialogues into engaging drama activities, then bring everything together by planning and delivering a complete drama-based activity of your own. The workshop closes with group reflection, feedback, and your certificate.
On successful completion of the 3-day workshop, you will receive a digital credential, including an e-certificate which can be downloaded and printed, and a credential badge which can be displayed on your social media and LinkedIn profiles, allowing you to showcase your achievement.
Our credentials are incorruptible digital certificates encoded on blockchain, ensuring they cannot be altered or copied and can be easily verified by institutions. We use the same credential-issuing platform as leading universities including Harvard, Oxford, Berkeley, and Johns Hopkins.
